Privacy notice

This notice covers the scapton.com website and the collaboration contact form. It is written in plain language on purpose.

Last updated: August 2026

What we collect

We collect only what you type into the contact form. One field is required, the rest are optional and the form works if you leave every one of them blank:

  • Work email — required. Without it we cannot contact you.
  • Name — optional.
  • Role — optional.
  • Company — optional.
  • What you are working with — optional.
  • Product or integration context — optional. Please do not paste confidential vehicle, customer, claims or source data into this box.

We also store the date and time of your submission, and a fixed label recording that the entry came from this website.

Why we collect it

To understand your product and integration needs and to reply to your inquiry. The optional fields help us understand the hardware, data and role involved before we contact you.

We do not use this information for advertising, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. There is no newsletter. There is no tracking, no analytics and no advertising script on this website.

Submitting the form does not send an automatic confirmation email. We are notified that you contacted us, and that notification is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes it in order to deliver it. If the inquiry looks relevant, we may reply directly.

Bot protection

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission came from a person rather than a script. Turnstile is operated by Cloudflare and processes your request in order to make that decision.

To limit abuse we also count recent submissions per connection. We do not store your IP address to do this: the address is combined with the current date and put through a one-way hash, and only that hash and a counter are kept. The result cannot be turned back into an IP address, and it changes every day.

Email addresses are normalised

Addresses are trimmed and converted to lower case before they are stored, so the same address submitted twice is recognised as one entry. If you submit the form again with an address that is already on the list, we keep the original entry and tell you that you are on the list.

Where it is stored

The website and contact database run on Cloudflare infrastructure — Cloudflare Workers for the site and Cloudflare D1 for the form records. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf as our hosting provider.

We are not making any claim here about certification schemes, formal audits, encryption guarantees or the specific country your record is stored in. If those details matter for your organisation, email us and we will tell you what we actually know.

How long we keep it

For as long as we are discussing or working on the integration you contacted us about. When an entry is no longer needed for that purpose, or when you ask us to remove it, we delete it.

How to get your data removed

Email paulius.ragauskas@scapton.com from the address you signed up with, or tell us which address to remove. We will delete the entry and confirm when it is done. You do not need to give a reason, and asking does not require an account — there are no accounts on this website.

You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Same address, same process.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own and does not use local storage for tracking. Cloudflare Turnstile may set what it needs to perform its bot check on the pages that contain the contact form.

Changes

If this notice changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting people who previously submitted the form may be sent by email when relevant.
